PSDs open only when the train stops at the correct position. The use of PSDs helps to prevent accidents, objects falling on track, and trespassing. PSDs are synchronously controlled throughout the length of the platform. PSDs which are on the platform operate in synchronization with the Train doors. PSDs are installed at every RRTS station help in saving significant energy consumption and ensure enhanced safety of commuters. <br>NCRTC has taken the initiative of bringing the technology of manufacturing PSDs in India, towards the aim of \u2018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 by adopting \u2018Make in India\u2019 in its true spirit.
